Proudly supporting local charities and organisations, Swim Mechanix has been involved in giving for over 7 years.
Having taught so many children and families to be SAFER in and around water, we appreciate the value of a person's life and want to make a positive impact on our society.
In 2020, after a visit to Vietnam to see the fantastic work that Perth based charity AWSOM Project do in My Tho, we decided to sponsor 10 children from the orphanage for deaf children so that they can learn life saving swimming and water safety skills.
Our Instructors and Families regularly contribute items of need towards the Kids Cancer Support Group which provides relief for families and children on the oncology ward at Perth's Children's Hospital. You can find out how to help by clicking on the image.
Donations towards WA Telethon, Royal Life Saving Watch Around Water Fund, the AWESOM Project, and most recently the Australian Salvation Army Disaster Relief Fund for the bushfire emergency are all regular contributions that wouldn't happen without your support and attendance to our swimming programs.
Of course, it's not just money and gifts that we're handing out. Providing free Water Safety Talks and HeartBeat Club courses to parents of young children as well as subsidised Learn to Swim programs for Multicultural Women in our community all help towards us achieving a lower drowning toll.
