Are card payment surcharges being removed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Swim Mechanix will no longer apply a payment surcharge to Visa and Mastercard credit or debit card payments processed from 1 October 2026.This applies to both automatic and one-time payments made using these card types.

Are there still any payment fees?

Accepted Answer

A bank-account transaction fee may continue to apply at $0.88 per transaction where disclosed as part of the selected payment arrangement.Failed-payment fees may also apply when a card payment or bank-account debit is declined or returned unpaid.

Can I still pay through DCP, NDIS or another third-party funding provider?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Approved third-party funding arrangements may continue, subject to the requirements and approval processes of the relevant funding provider.You must contact Swim Mechanix before the applicable payment date so that any invoicing or documentation requirements can be confirmed. Direct invoicing of a funding provider is only available where Swim Mechanix has agreed to the arrangement in advance.Payment of Swim Mechanix fees remains the customer’s responsibility. Third-party funding does not extend the payment due date or permit fees to remain outstanding while payment is being pursued.If the funding provider does not approve or pay the invoiced amount by the due date, you must pay the outstanding fees directly to Swim Mechanix and seek reimbursement from the provider where applicable.You are also responsible for any amount that is not approved, funded or paid by the third-party provider.

What happens if third-party funding does not cover the full amount?

Accepted Answer

Any amount not covered by the third-party provider remains payable by the customer.The remaining balance may be processed using the payment method held on the Swim Mechanix account.

Question 5

Do I need a payment method on file while awaiting funding approval?

Accepted Answer

Swim Mechanix may require a valid payment method to be held on the account while third-party funding is awaiting approval or where the funding does not cover all fees.Applying for funding does not guarantee approval and does not automatically place billing or an enrolment on hold.Please contact us before the scheduled payment date if you are waiting for a funding decision.

What if I am using a KidSport voucher?

Accepted Answer

Eligible KidSport vouchers can continue to be applied to Swim Mechanix fees.Families intending to use KidSport funding are requested to apply as early as possible and provide the approved voucher details to Swim Mechanix before the applicable payment due date.Once the voucher has been approved and credited to your Swim Mechanix account, it will reduce the amount payable. Any remaining balance must be paid using your selected term or monthly billing arrangement.Submitting a KidSport application does not automatically place billing or an enrolment on hold. If the voucher has not been approved before payment is due, please contact Swim Mechanix. Payment of the fees remains the customer’s responsibility until the funding has been approved and applied to the account.

How do I cancel an enrolment?

Accepted Answer

To cancel a regular lesson enrolment and prevent the next scheduled payment, Swim Mechanix must receive your cancellation request at least 48 hours before the next scheduled debit date.Cancellation notice must be submitted through one of the following channels:a Student Enrolment Drop Request through the Swim Mechanix App or Customer Portal;an email to hello@swimmechanix.com.au; or busselton@swimmechanix.com.au or success@swimmechanix.com.auTelephone call to 08 6255 7740.the Contact Us form on the Swim Mechanix website.
A voicemail, SMS, social-media message, non-attendance or removal of a payment method does not constitute formal cancellation notice.

Question 8

Does removing my payment method cancel the enrolment?

Accepted Answer

No. Removing or disabling a card, bank account or recurring payment authority does not cancel a swimmer’s enrolment.The enrolment continues, and fees may remain payable, until a valid cancellation request is received.

Question 9

What is my next scheduled debit date?

Accepted Answer

For monthly billing, it is the next monthly payment date shown in your account or payment notification, generally on or around the 28th.For term billing, it is the upcoming term payment date shown in your account or communicated by Swim Mechanix. The debit date will be before term commencement.Cancellation notice must be received at least 48 hours before that date.
