Wellness Policy

Our policy requires the exclusion of children, adults, and teachers from lessons if they exhibit symptoms or have been diagnosed with the following conditions:

• Chicken Pox: Exclusion until seven days after the final lesion has healed.

• Ringworm: Exclusion until treatment has been confirmed successful.

• Diarrhoea: Exclusion for two weeks after symptoms have ceased.

• School Sores (Impetigo): Exclusion until all lesions are fully healed.

• Measles: Exclusion for seven days following the appearance of the rash.

• Whooping Cough: Exclusion for four weeks after the onset of the cough.

• Mumps: Exclusion until 14 days after symptoms have cleared.

• Conjunctivitis and Laryngitis: Exclusion until symptoms have fully resolved.

• Cold/Flu: Exclusion until all symptoms have cleared.

• Vomiting: Exclusion until the episode has passed.

Medical Credits for Missed Lessons:

If your child is unable to attend due to illness, notify us at least 2 hours before the class time to receive up to 2 medical credits per term. These credits can be applied to future enrolment fees and are not refundable.

For extended absences due to medical reasons, please inform us before your next class and provide a doctor's note. In such cases, credits or make-up tokens may be applied, but issuance is not guaranteed.

COVID-19 Handling:

​

• Symptoms and Self-Isolation: If you or your child are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms and are self-isolating in line with State Government guidelines, please inform our staff immediately. In such instances, a Make Up token will be credited to your account. For the option of a credit towards future enrolment fees, please present a medical certificate.

• Closure Due to Government Regulations: In the event that Swim Mechanix must close due to State Government COVID-19 regulations, credits corresponding to the number of lessons missed during the closure period will be automatically applied to your account.
